Natural Light Portraits • 3 Hr Hands-On Workshop • $129.00
Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2017 • 8:30am • Location: RiverPlace Promenade • This 3 hour hands-on photo workshop with a working professional photographer is ideal for those who want to develop their outdoor portrait shooting skills using natural light. Whether you have a good point & shoot camera or a DSLR, we will help you learn the basic principals of creative posing techniques, lens selection, effectively using natural light, working with simple light modifiers, and much more. We will also explore the best techniques for dealing with bright sunny days, as well as our typical northwest overcast.
A model will be on hand to provide real world experience, and let you try different visual treatments, as well as help you avoid some of the typical mistakes made in outdoor portrait shooting.
We will be working in the scenic waterfront RiverPlace neighborhood, with its wide promenade, colorful parks and stylish architecture. This area offers a variety of shooting environments and lighting situations and plenty of space to practice what you've learned in the class.
Class will end with an informal review of images and recommendations for portrait shooting projects you can do on your own to further master your newly acquired outdoor portrait photography skills
